Lizori is the new name of
Borgo San Benedetto. Until a few years ago, it was called Castle di Pissignano. All the streets of the village have the same name, which is Via del Castello, while all the houses have a number, other than a specific characteristic and definition.
This place is located in Italy, in Umbria, in the province of Perugia, in the territory of
Campello sul Clitunno, part of Borgo San Benedetto (Lizori).
The village neatly stands among the olive trees, on Mount Revaglioso (or Santo), close to the Clitunno Temple.
Through the stream
Clitunno and
Lizori, there is the famous Via Flaminia. On the Via Flaminia, between Spoleto and Foligno, Lizori stands with its white stones on the right hand side (coming from Spoleto), with the Clitunno Temple on the left hand side.
How to get there:
From South, by train or car: Rome – Orte – Spoleto – Campello sul Clitunno.
From North, by train or car: Florence – Terentola – Perugia – Assisi – Foligno – Campello sul Clitunno.
